Mike Jenkins has always held a passion for high performance automobiles and racing as both a fan and an enthusiast. As the owner of Traxxas, The Fastest Name In Radio ControlĀ®, Mike has spent a lifetime around radio-controlled racing cars and trucks, and fulfilled his passion for full-size motorsports with forays into motocross, drag racing, and later, road racing with modified Corvettes and other sports cars. In 2007, Mike and brother Mark began racing the SCCA's Mazda MX-5 Cup series, which features specially prepared open-roof sportscars with strict "spec" rules that keep the cars very closely matched. After a trip to Primm, Nevada for an up-close look at short-course off-road racing, Mike recognized the high-intensity motorsport as the perfect fit for Traxxas, the number-one name in hobby-class radio-controlled cars and trucks. Mike and Mark formed Jenkins Brothers Racing to field a two-truck Traxxas team of their own, with Mark driving a Pro 2WD truck and Mike climbing into a Pro 4X4 machine. Despite racing against a field of drivers with far more off-road experience, Mike finished his rookie season with ten top-10 finishes, one top-five, and two second-place podium spots in seventeen starts. 2009 marked a new chapter for short-course racing as The Traxxas Off-Road Championship (TORC) made its debut. For the first time, the best drivers in short-course off-road racing would all be together in one series that included the legendary tracks of the Midwest as well as West Coast venues. Racing against the nation's best short-course drivers, Mike scored five top-5 finishes and two podium finishes, including a dramatic win at the TORC finale in Las Vegas.

Mark Jenkins began his motorsports career with older brother Mike, competing in Spec Miatas and joining the SCCA's Mazda MX-5 Cup series. Mark's performance on the MX-5 Cup circuit steadily improved, and in 2008, Mark joined brother Mike in a wildly different motorsports venture: short-course off-road racing. With brother Mike in a Pro 4X4 truck and Mark strapping into a Pro 2WD machine, the Jenkins brothers plunged into short-course racing, literally full throttle. In the sixteen races, Mark finished in the top ten five times, even making the top five. The 2009 racing season brought Mark to the TORC series. Now racing in an even deeper pool of talented racers, Mark rose to the challenge and notched five top-5 finishes and broke into the top-10 for the season, finishing ninth overall in the 25-truck field. While the focus is on short-course competition, Mark splits his race time between off-road racing and the SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup. In the Playboy series' 2009 season opener, Mark reached a new milestone in his racing career by leading the most laps of the event and posting the fastest individual lap time on the way to a second-place finish.

At just 22 years old, Andrew Caddell is already a highly successful sportscar racer and just made his off-road racing debut as the driver of the number 43 Traxxas Pro Light racing truck. While new to short-course racing, Andrew is no stranger to the checkered flag, with 61 victories in his racing career. Like many drivers, Andrew got his start in karts, and began racing at just ten years old. In four years of kart racing, Andrew won three championships with 28 wins, 57 podium finishes, and 5 track records. In 2002, Andrew began racing Bandolero spec cars to get paved oval racing experience and finished the year with second place overall and the Rookie of the Year title. Andrew made his sportscar racing debut in 2005 at age 16 in an SCCA Spec Miata. In his first year of sportscar racing, he posted 9 wins, 21 podium finishes, 2 track records, and was crowned the SCCA Northwest Region Spec Miata Champion. He won the regional championship a second time in 2006, as well as the overall SCCA Spec Miata National Championship. His performance in the series earned him an invitation to the 2006 Mazda Shootout, which he also won. Firmly established as an amateur star, Andrew made his professional debut in 2007 in the Mazda MX-5 Cup series. In his rookie year, he finished second overall in season points. 2008 brought Andrew to the inaugural Ford Racing Mustang Challenge. With 3 wins, 5 poles, 7 podiums, and 5 track records in the new FR500S Mustang, the Challenge represented another championship victory for the young racer. In 2009, Andrew returned to the Mustang Challenge and backed up his 2008 title with another Championship. For 2010, Andrew has undertaken a new challenge with short-course racing, and he has wasted no time getting to the podium in the opening rounds of the TORC series. In his first-ever Pro Light race, racing against a full field of established drivers at the famous Crandon International Raceway, Caddell took the holeshot and went on to the win without ever reaching for a tear-off. Proving the win was no fluke, Caddell raced up through the field to finish second in Round 2, and secure the lead in Pro Light season points. You can expect to see much more of Andrew and his Traxxas Pro Light as the 2010 TORC season continues!
